Mavronero joins the GO REGENERATIVE festival in Cyprus

At Mavronero, agriculture is approached as part of a wider ecological system where cultivation, biodiversity, soil health, and environmental balance are closely connected. For this reason, participating in initiatives that encourage dialogue around regenerative farming and sustainable food systems is an important part of the project’s development.

On May 17th, Mavronero will participate in the GO REGENERATIVE – 1st Regenerative Farming Festival, taking place at the Christos Stelios Ioannou Foundation in Strovolos, Nicosia.

The festival brings together organizations, producers, educational institutions, and environmental initiatives focused on regenerative agriculture, ecological awareness, and resilient cultivation systems. Through presentations, product tastings, educational activities, local producers, and community participation, the event aims to create a space for knowledge exchange and public engagement around more sustainable agricultural practices.

At Mavronero, regenerative cultivation is not viewed as a fixed technique but as a continuous process of observation and adaptation. Current practices focus on improving soil structure, encouraging biodiversity, reducing unnecessary intervention, and supporting long-term ecosystem resilience.

Participation in events such as GO REGENERATIVE creates an opportunity to connect these practical experiences with broader conversations taking place within the agricultural and environmental sectors in Cyprus.

The event is organized through the collaboration of the TUI Care Foundation, Cyprus Environment Foundation, KES College, and the Christos Stelios Ioannou Foundation, under the auspices of the Office of the Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare.

Throughout the festival, visitors will be able to explore:

  • regenerative farming initiatives
  • farmers markets and local products
  • presentations and educational activities
  • food and product tastings
  • family-friendly activities and music

For Mavronero, participation in this first edition represents more than attendance at a public event. It reflects an ongoing commitment to cultivation methods that work with ecological processes while contributing to a wider network of people and organizations interested in more resilient food systems.

As regenerative agriculture continues to evolve in Cyprus and internationally, events like GO REGENERATIVE help create connections between practice, research, education, and community engagement.
